Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a artist who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August, 1963. Her parents are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick also sings. Her mother and she began singing professionally at New Hope Baptist Church of Newark in the year Whitney was just 15 years old. The two sang backing vocals in Chaka Khan's track from 1978 Im Every Woman. In 1981, she worked as a fashion model and also appeared on the Seventeen Cover. Also, she provided backing vocals to Jermaine and Lou Rawls. Her vocals with the band from New York Material attracted major record labels, including Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983, where she was a part of the company for the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut single for a new artist in 1985. My Love was her debut album. My Love was released in 1985 and became a number one smash. The album was sold to three million people in the first year and over 25 million worldwide. The album won her first six Grammys. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her first album. However, it was it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most loved artists. Although the film and the performances of the actress were not well-received, the soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her top single and albums for many months. It sold over 44 million copies worldwide. In the same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a ex- New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown together in March 1993. It was about this time that her much documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was a daily addict.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both an anchorwoman, reporter, and political correspondent. Her weekend programs comprise Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded numerous awards and honors. Elle magazine once listed her in the Women in Washington Power List. A lot of young journalists praise her for having incredible reporting/anchoring abilities.
